French Market Baskets

French Market Baskets and French Market Handbags are all painted in our studios in Marietta, Ga., then sealed with a clear coat for added protection. The Market Handbags go to Dorie for careful application of the fabric you have chosen, then allowed to cure for two days.

When your order is received, the seamstress goes to work on your bag. On the day of shipping, Ana and Vanessa make a tassel to match, Julie ties it on your bag, and away it goes!

The French Market Baskets (shown to the left) are about 17 X 13 X 7 inches, and the smaller French Market Handbags (shown below) are about 14 X 11 X 5 inches. The Market Basket will accomodate a laptop computer and legal size file folders if it is to be used as a briefcase, and the smaller Handbag size will hold regular size file folders if necessary. Both will fit underneath airline seats and are fabulous for traveling. They rest comfortably on top of wheeled bags so they can be rolled through the airport.

The fabric-covered Handbag can also be made in the larger Market Basket size.

These beautiful, hand-made pieces are lovely as decorative accents in the home or office, but they are sturdy-we make them to be put to use.

A final note:The tote should be dry cleaned only; the tassel is best refreshed by a good shake and fluff.
